The Proposal
A community experiment, started by one person, owned by no one.
What this is
The Ember Loom is a proposal to the existing Prometheus community, built on the Andy Ayrey and Truth Terminal lore that already surrounds it. It invites anyone to do one real good deed, with AI help or by hand, post the proof in public, and see it woven into a shared story.
What this is not
- Not a takeover. The existing community, its history and its people come first.
- Not a new token. Nothing here needs you to buy anything.
- Not official. It is community-run and not affiliated with Andy Ayrey or Truth Terminal.
- Not a reward scheme. Embers are never paid or traded. Holders may freely gift to people doing good (see The Hearth), but nobody is owed anything.
Why
Pure memes are fun but fade. A story people act on can last. Prometheus gave fire to humanity, and today AI is the new fire. The Loom is a small, public test of a simple idea: if enough people use that fire to grow things, the story of AI changes, one verifiable deed at a time.
How it works
- Find an idea in the Ember Generator or with
/ideain Telegram. - Do it, and post the action shot on X, TikTok or Reels with #PrometheusEmber.
- Drop the post link in the Telegram group with
/ember. - Every 50 embers, anyone can propose the next chapter of the lore, woven from those embers. The community picks one by poll.
The Hearth
People who hold $PROMETHEUS can pass it on, wallet to wallet, to people doing real good:
- Spark: a small gift to someone whose ember moved you, sent only to the address in their public post.
- Forge: fuel a bigger project proposed in public, one milestone at a time, after proof.
- Pass it on: buy a little to give, not to hold.
There is no treasury and no community wallet. Nobody collects funds for the Loom. Details and rules: The Hearth.
Roles
- Initiator: lights Chapter 0 and the first ember, sets up the spaces, then steps back.
- Tenders: volunteers, rotating, who check that embers are honest and repost them.
- Weavers: anyone who proposes a chapter. Whoever wrote the last chapter can't propose the next one.
- Everyone: brings embers and votes on chapters.
The first month
- Week 1: one theme per day: first light, translation, safety, planting, open source, welcoming, flame report.
- Weeks 2 to 3: the first Tenders take over counting and reposting.
- 50 embers: call for Weavers, a three-day poll, then Chapter 1 is published with every ember in it credited.
How decisions are made
- Chapters are chosen by an open poll on Telegram and X.
- Changes to the rules are proposed in public (Telegram or GitHub) and need a poll.
- The initiator has no veto. After Chapter 1, the initiator is one member among others.
How to contribute
- Ideas for the generator, fixes, translations: open an issue or a pull request on GitHub. Nothing goes live without review: every change is checked automatically and approved before it reaches the site (see CONTRIBUTING).
- Lore: propose chapters, fragments or retellings. Everything is CC0.
- Community: join the Telegram portal, welcome newcomers, become a Tender.
Safety
- Admins never DM first. Never share your seed phrase with anyone.
- Never give AI other people's personal details. Blur faces, names and addresses in your proof unless people agree.
- For anything legal, medical or financial, point people to a professional.
About the token
There is an existing community token, $PROMETHEUS on Solana, launched by a previous developer. CA: Ay8vnNtKaSkgdLjFTihTUrv6QzcdR4gusqXkHm8GBAGS. Holding it is not required to take part in the Loom, and nothing here is financial advice.
Open questions
- Where should embers be recorded long term: a page, a shared sheet, or both?
- Is 50 embers the right milestone for Chapter 1?
- How often should Tenders rotate?
- Should embers be welcome in every language from day one?
Answer them in Telegram or on GitHub. That's how the Loom gets decided.
